Aux not working

I have an iPhone 6s the aux to my car stopped working but my headphones still work. How can I fix this?

Thanks for following up and clarifying. Since the Aux cord works with other devices, have you been able to try connecting your iPhone to a different audio source, like a speaker to see if the iPhone plays sound from there? We would also recommend making sure that the sound isn't muted or turned down on the iPhone:

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are experiencing some issues with your iPhone playing audio from your car stereo. We are happy to help provide some guidance.


If the headphone port is still working when you plug in headphones, but not working when you connect it to your car stereo, that indicates to us that there might be something wrong with the aux cable or the car stereo not reading the aux cable when it is plugged in. Do you have another aux cord you could try using, or a different audio source or speaker you could plug in with that aux cable to see if it works there?
