I realised that when I use the Apple Pencil to write down some notes on a pdf file using the “preview app”, the quality of the written notes is just terrible (please check the attached screenshot). I was wondering if you could help me solve this issue. Thank you so much in advance.

Thank you very much for your support! I apologise for my mistake, I just realised that indeed this has to do with iPadOS and not MacOS (I labelled this question as MacOS incorrectly).
No, I don’t use the sidecar to write in the Preview app with pencil. I simply open the PDF on the iPad “files” folder and write my notes directly there in the “preview” app which is launched. The pdf was originally created from a word document (using macOS). Thank you very much in advance.

I looked at your screenshot and the writing looks fine to me.
Maybe it’s your writing style/penmanship? Size of your writing?
Have you tried using a thinner pen brush?
Writing larger?
What, exactly, is the problem?
I am just not seeing it!
