You did not buy the same model computer. You bought a new model with the M1 chip. This is like replacing your F150 with an 8 cylinder engine with a new model with a 4 cylinder engine and being upset that it does not have the same towing capacity as your old truck.

With respect to you being an unhappy customer, I am sorry about that, but we are not Apple employees here. We are users like you. Provide feedback to Apple if you want to tell them their new model computer does not live up to your expectations.

The 13-in MacBook Pro with Apple-Silicon M1 chip supports a huge External display, up to the 6K resolution of the Apple display HDR. It is Much more capable that the models that preceded it.

But it is possible that it does not match the way you used to work, (i.e, with multiple, smaller displays).

If and only if you purchased DIRECT from Apple you have 14-days to return or exchange the one you received for full value.

If you purchased for a Reseller, the Reseller's policies apply.

You've missed the point entirely Bob.

As a longtime mbp user I went and upgraded and was sold a product that has less features than my last version of this product.

Your response was, I should have checked the specs better, or go find another product.

How can a 2017 mbp meet all my needs but a 2020 one can't?

It does everything I need EXCEPT support 2 monitors out of its usb-c ports, which I KNOW are capable because the one sitting beside it from 2017 does it.

But thanks for the link.

Sorry I was not helpful. I am in the market for a new pickup truck. I don't think I'll buy a new model without ensuring it does what I need it to do. I need it to tow 12,000lbs. I'm sure not all new pickup trucks can do that so I'll check the specs of each truck before I make the purchase to confirm that it meets my requirements.

Because a computer is newer does not necessarily mean it does everything an older model did.

Right, Bob.

So let's continue your analogy.

I've been buying F150's for years, I've used them to tow.

I wasn't buying a new truck I had never driven before, I've had this truck, I love this truck.

I only buy THIS truck.

It's time to get a new model, so i check every spec?

Get it yet?

I'm an unhappy customer, but please keep telling me its my fault, I'm sure that will work.
