I’m in construction and I’m constantly looking at PDFs on my phone tablet and computer all Apple products. PDFs of any size of maybe 5 to 10 pages or more are constantly crashing and just turning off and then rarely well scroll down to the higher numbered pages. how can I get this to stop?

Hello! I have the same problem. My large PDF files that are usually construction plans and architectural drawings. I have followed your advice and opened the PDF in the Books app and the files operate correctly with no crashes. However this is very inconvenient to have to go outside of the files app to view my files.
Regarding the PDFs I am using they have been on iCloud and saved to my iPad Pro or iPhone but they still will end up crashing int he file app. It is noticeably glitchy and slow to load the pages while in the File App. While in the file app if I click on my PDF it can take up to 15 seconds for it to open then after using it for a short time switching from page to page and zooming in on pages it will go to white/blank page and then it will start at the top of the PDF again. I have a screen recording of the problem as well if that can help.
I had assumed maybe my memory (RAM) was getting full so I closed all my apps and the problem still happens. I also checked how much storage space I have and I have only used 20% of my storage.
Can we get an update for the File App? It would be very hand to be able to rely on it. Let me know. Thank you!
