Volume drops when listening to Apple Music

And.... it's still happening with Lossless Audio on.

I’m having that problem let’s see if the lossless and sound check did the trick.

Monterey does not offer the lossless audio checkbox. It is seriously like a ghost changes my volume when I walk away.

I am still having the issue with Lossless quality.

ive Had the same issue lately and it only happens after picking up my phone it’s weird but I’ve noticed every time I pick up my phone it lowers the volume automatically

It has to do with Dolby Atmos. If your device is not supported, it will drop and bust your eardrums with feedback. -_-

I tried changing the sound check unchecking but it helped for a couple songs but as soon as a newer song plays, feedback or some sort of loud song change happens and my ears suffer. Trust me.....hear me out...

So...unless you have the wired apple headphones or wireless headphones, go to playback and turn off Dolby Atmos.

Same here.

Sound check is off but I do have a -9db pre-amp reduction in the equaliser.

Any playback from stopped in Music app (all local files) starts with the track at full level and after 5 seconds the -9db abruptly kicks in. Changing tracks sticks at the reduced level.

This seems like a bug with the equaliser kicking in late from stopped.

So this has been edited by a moderator to remove references to this problem existing in latest versions.

It would be great if Apple could put as much effort as they do into moderating comments unnecessarily into actually testing and developing products.
