Maybe if you state what exact router this is.. would be more insightful(?)

If you’re entering 192.168.1.1 and getting what’s shown, either the router is doing that for the connection, or maybe some VPN client add-on or add-on security app is doing that on your Mac. But hased on the URLs shown, this reeks of router firmware or setup...

As a first step—since you can seemingly access the router from an iPhone, use that to update the router firmware.

It’s probably best to assume any newly-arrived router has down-revision firmware, and look for and apply any updates, too.

There’s also a 4gee Wi-Fi app for macOS that may or may not be necessary, and that was (and this may well have changed in the ensuing time) apparently still 32-bit a while back:

Then if you’re getting forwarded elsewhere else when entering 192.168.1.1, and if you have no VPN client add-ons and no add-on anti-malware and no add-on ad-blockers or such loaded on your Mac, there’s something seemingly off about the router or its configuration.

Try Safari, too, on the off chance Firefox is somehow involved in this weirdness.

As a long shot, create a new location in System Preferences > Network, and configure that for your Wi-Fi. As part of that, add 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9 as the DNS servers for your Wi-Fi network connection; that’s the Cloudflare and Quad9 DNS services.

Your patience with this router exceeds mine, to be blunt.

Web interfaces can browser-sniff clients, and can be coded to then do different things for different web browser clients.

Short of running an EtreCheck inventory on your Mac and posting that here as an attachment, there’s not much more to go on. Download and run that, share the report to the clipboard, and open a new reply here, and then press the button that looks like a printed page to get a text input box big enough to paste the hardware and software configuration report here.

And booting into Safe Mode should have temporarily disabled the usual problem apps. While creating a new location then bypassed cruft in the existing network configuration and setup.

ps: 172.16.0.0/12 is in a private block, as are the 10.0.0.0/8 and 192.168.0.0/16 blocks, while 172.1.1.2 is a public address.
