How to remove BTCUSD=X from notification center Stocks widgets?

I have a stock symbol that persists in the Stocks widgets both on my MacBook (macOS 11.2.3), iPhone 12 mini (iOS 14.4.2) and iPhone SE (iOS 13.6.1). The symbol name is BTCUSD=X (it was renamed to BTC-USD). It doesn't work, so I want to remove it.

The symbol doesn't appear in a Stocks application, so I can't delete it in the straighforward way. In fact, the symbol is stuck in my iCloud. If I turn iCloud synchronization off, the symbol gets replaced with the default list of symbols, but I need an iCloud synchronization, so turning it off isn't a solution. The only solution I see now is creating a new iCloud account, which is ridiculous.

What should I do? How to remove the excess symbol from the Stocks widgets? Probably, there is a way to reset the Stocks storage in iCloud?

Hello OstapBender,

It sounds like you want to delete a symbol from the Stocks widget; we'd love to help any way we can.

Just to clarify, have you tried removing that symbol from your watchlist on your iPhones, using the exact steps under the "Manage your watchlist" part of the following page? Check stocks on iPhone If so, does that symbol appear as expected there?

You can also find more information on using and managing widgets on your iPhone here: Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch

Thanks!
