Factory reset

Somehow forgot my password and now my phone is disabled until I connect to iTunes. If I reset my phone I know most of my photos will be gone, but my phone is synced with my Macbook. If I reset my phone will that also reset my computer because they are synced. If not will all my photos remain on my Mac?

It will not affect anything on the Mac.
