Two-sided printing in Preview not working

I've been trying to print to a Ricoh C3004ex from preview and have been having trouble getting it to print double-sided. The option is there for two-sided, but when I send the file through it will take the paper and only print the first page and not take the second page at all.

I would usually print from Adobe Acrobat but Pro DC and wouldn't have an issue, which makes me think that there is something up with Preview struggling to read my PDF. The page it won't print contains some bitmap TIFFs and EPS logo files, would these cause the whole page not to print in preview?

I'm running Catalina 10.15.7 but have had the same issue with other office computers running older versions of High Sierra.

Any help here would be great! Not sure if I've got the right topic.

A networked Ricoh C3004ex is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint. Some devices that printed duplex (using AirPrint) prior to Catalina, do not do so after, or throughout the entire Catalina update cycle. Once upgraded to Big Sur, these devices resumed duplex printing. My Samsung ML-2955ND is one such printer, and this may be the issue with your Ricoh.

If you have another Mac running Big Sur, and this device configured to use AirPrint there, test if duplex is honored on Big Sur.

To get started, have you had a chance to test with any other printers that support double-sided printing? The reason we ask is if this issue happens with more than one computer, then the issue may be with the printer itself or how it's communicating with these computers.
