Custom Audiobooks

Dear friends

I bought some months ago a new beautiful iMac 27. I preferred to do a clean install of my apps instead of bringing all the rubbish from the old MacBook to iMac. With iCloud is more ore less everything find...but for audiobooks. I have a nice collection of custom audiobooks which I made myself and imported to iTunes of the old MacBook. now when I connect my iPhone or iPad to iMac 27 (2019 model with Big Sur) I am asked to transfer the empty list of audiobooks to iPhone and the present custom (not purchased) audiobooks are gone. do you have any ideas? through the MacBook I can find the folder with the audiobooks and copy them to a usb stick. but how do we proceed?

Thank a lot

In the Books app use File > Add to Library to import your custom audiobooks. Books will make copies of the files in a hidden library folder.
