I'm having this problem too since updating to IOS 14.5. When going to sleep with the audible app on sleep timer the sound dies as soon as the screen goes to sleep but the app keeps playing. The only work around I have come up with is to force close the app then restart. Then restart the timer and manually close the screen with the right button. This allows the app to continue to play.
This must be related to “Allow Audible to Access Media & Apple Music”. In my case it was turned off already. Turning it on fixed my issue. Now at least my cabled earphones can work again
So was mine. Turning it on did the trick instead
I have this same problem. It happens with all my audio books. What did you do with this latest update? How do I fix it? If I can’t, why don’t you fix it.
Excellent - many Thanks for your post. It worked for me as well.
I am having the same problem- audible stops when the screen sleeps. Deeply frustrating that updates undermine instead of enhancing customer experience
This worked for me thank you so much
This totally worked! Thank you!!
This totally worked, thank you!
used car mode, that’s what work for my girlfriend’s iPhone.
Thanks for sharing. And congrats for being able to decipher those instructions! I recognize those words, but the way they’re strung together I can’t tell what they’re supposed to mean.
Just updated the audible app and it works fine now.
this fixed it thanks
Does anyone know what I should do if Media and Apple Music is not showing In The audible app as I’m having the same irritating problem.
Turning off “low power mode” fixed it for me.
I don’t seem to have this option on my iPhone. Could I be looking in the wrong place?
