After a IOS update today, my audible app stops playing when my iphone screen goes into sleep mode. I've closed apps, rebooted phone and still having problem.

I'm having this problem too since updating to IOS 14.5. When going to sleep with the audible app on sleep timer the sound dies as soon as the screen goes to sleep but the app keeps playing. The only work around I have come up with is to force close the app then restart. Then restart the timer and manually close the screen with the right button. This allows the app to continue to play.

Try looking in your App Store under purchases, you should see the audible app and it will have an update option to the right
No, it didn’t. I think I was referring to the “settings”. In settings/audible and audible/settings there is no option for giving access to Apple Music and/or Apple media

Not just Audible. It’s happening with Spotify too. Extremely annoying. But everything works fine with headphones in.
I’d like to add the long list of people with this same issue.
I contacted Audible also and they did not give me anything that worked. Would you please post the steps that they gave you?
Turning of low power mode fixed this issue for me.
Nothing worked.
All I did was remove the app from my phone, then I went into the App Store to reload the app and this time my audible app reloaded, but with all updates and everything worked.

This worked for about two weeks and the problem started again. I think I’ve tried everything with no luck. Very very frustrating.
This doesn’t work for me.
Turning off (or on) media fixes it but you have to repeat every time you change audio. This is stupid!!!!
I tried that, I deleted and reinstalled the app, I force-closed and rebooted. Nothing works permanently.
