Out of range- notification after I get back in range od Phone

If I go away from my iphone ( more than 10 m) and in the mean time someone calls me on the iphone (so I have on my phone a missed call)...

When I get with my watch within the range of my iphone- does the notification of a missed call get on my watch or do I have to manualy check the iphone?

There is an app called "Phone Buddy" that claims to let you know when your iPhone and Apple Watch loose contact with each other.

I make not claims about it. And it is possible it will affect your battery life (just a guess, as the Apple Watch would need to keep polling the iPhone to see if it is not there).

There may be similar apps available.
