Apple TV: Prevent access to private data (photos, possibly more?)

Hello dear community,

I have been thinking about replacing my FireTV Cube with an Apple TV for a few days now. As I could see from some other posts, I can also access my photos with the Apple TV, but of course I don't want to do that in practice because I don't live alone.

Hence my question: Can I use the device normally, also to buy and watch media content (movies, series), but without access to all personal data like photos, notes, iCloud storage, calendar, contacts and so on? Since I haven't seen an Apple TV "live" yet, I don't know which apps are possible there or not.

First of all: it is not helpful to deactivate iCloud Photos in the settings if it can be reactivated without entering my password.

Thank you for your help.

Turning on iCloud Photos for your account requires entering the password for the account.

Notes, iCloud storage (other than iCloud Photos), Calendar, Contacts are not available on Apple TV.

Hello Urquhart1244,

thank you very much for your helpful answer and please excuse my late response at the same time. Your answer was not only correct, but also helped me. My Apple TV 4K has been running for a couple of days and the behaviour is as you described.

Thank you again and have a nice day!
