I want to restore a file from my Time Machine backup.
Problem : the file is in a subdirectory of /library that does not appear in MacOs. Only from terminal can I find it.
How do I tell Time Machine to go look for that file to restore ?
All ideas welcome.

Can you verify which "library" are you speaking to?
~/Library
/Library
/System/Library
You can drill down through the Finder>File>Go>Go to Folder and copy & paste the complete path.
