MacBook Pro 2017 Flexgate

Stuck with a MacBook Pro 2017 with the famous "Flexgate" Display issue. Really only used this laptop for three years and the display no longer works. Took to Apple and to see if it would qualify for the recall but for whatever reason, Apple is not repairing 2017 models, just 2016....

Wanting to know if anyone has had any luck repairing this issue or has any suggestions?

I've always loved Apple products, but I've been highly disappointed and angered by this situation. I don't know what to do.

Similar post with these artifacts/issue/no display got their screen replaced and the problems went way.

you can arrange to have your Mac sent in for service. If your warranty has expired the cost is under US$800.

An alternative work-a-round for you is to connect to an external monitor if you can not afford the repair price.

Hello.

I have a MB Pro 2016 Touch Bar and A month ago when I opened the lid after 45 °, some light gray vertical lines half a centimeter wide appeared along the screen.

The technical service cannot apply the program guarantee because the reported symptoms do not appear (stage light or screen off).

The problem originates in the same way (open 45 °). I think it is flexgate but with another symptom and if I should apply the program.

What do you think?

Thank.
