Macbook Pro 15 2018 Flexgate 2, what to do?

This is my Macbook Pro 15, 2018 model bought in November 2018. Completely unusable display with pink - magenta bars covering it. Always treated with great care. My local Apple service center asks hundreds of euros to repair.

Absolutely disappointed in Apple. A machine so expensive failing for a blatant factory defect after a little over 2 years is unacceptable. I don't even know what to do about it, it makes my blood boil having to pay so much to fix it. I'm temporarily using it with an external monitor.

I have the same issue. I bought my MacBook Pro 15 in December 2018. The problem started in early May 2021. No accidental falls. The pc was in perfect condition.

After only 2 years and a few months of use it is unacceptable. Customer Service has informed me that the problem is not recognized by Apple and therefore is not covered by warranty. The price for repair is around 850€. Crazy, considering the fact that the problem is related to a defect in a flat cable.

I am deeply disappointed.
