Apple TV has no landscape mode?

In the Apple TV app there doesn’t appear to even be a way to view any videos in landscape. No, I do not have the lock engaged in the control panel, this appears to be just a flaw in the application? And the full screen button just zooms into the exact center? Has anyone else noticed this?
