MacBook Pro runs perfectly until it hits the percentages of 60s it shuts down

Hey guys!

I have the 2016 MacBook Pro 13’ (no touch bar ) running on the latest version of Big Sur. As stated above: once it hits battery percentage below 60 it automatically shuts down but if I connect it to the charger and press the power button the screen returns with the open apps. It all started on Thursday, before that everything was okay. I’ve tried the NVRAM and SMC reset without any success making the problem go away. Would appreciate some help because it’s getting annoying. Thanks in advance.
