Screen time FaceTime

My teen daughter is getting around the allowed amount of screen time by using the FaceTime button through messages so it is not accounting for the correct amount of screen time. Is there a way to fix this so she can not stay on FaceTime all day and avoid screen time hours. She is on it for hours and when looking at FaceTime it will say very little amount of time like under 5 minutes. I want to allow her some time but not if she can work around to avoid the allowed time

Without knowing all the specifics of this situation, it sounds like you have a limit set on the FaceTime app, when what you're after is a Communication Limit. The process for enabling a Communication Limit will vary based on how the device is set up (as a standalone Apple account vs. Family Sharing, for example), but can be seen here:
