virus protection

Yesterday I had a virus..."Your computer is low on memory..." -- kept popping up. Thought I had to deal with it today, but it seems to be gone. Does the MacAir have a program that detects and gets rid of malware??

There's no virus on your Mac.

As @TheLittles has already outlined there are no virus that affect macOS. There is malware and adware that does. Though, malware and adware may sneak in when the User downloads software from Third Party Untrusted or UnReliable Developers and sites. For that problem, which is not what heaped to your computer, Malwarebytes is available and from a Trusted Developers and Reliable Contributor to these Forums.
