You need to get your phone working first. If it is frozen, start here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201412

Exactly- a d the tips that usually work do NOT WORK,
i need to get it unfrozen- and the volume buttons then right stuff does not uNfreeze it
So I am trying to get it restored- but can not get past the “ not trusted” problem
so your answer is a great example of catch22
If the link that kb1951 didn't work then your phone has a major problem. Since you cannot unfreeze it you will not be able to get past the trust issue and will have to rely on your previous backup.
You may have missed the fact when you read the Terms of Use prior to agreeing to them that this is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple. Not cool to slap back at a volunteer trying to help you.
I am not “slapping back”- just explaining that it is seriously frozen
so to suggesting to in freeze it to get to be able to back up is a good example of catch22-
whatever.
