iPhone mobile data ip address not changing after turning off and on the cellular data

Hi All,

Personally, I have 3 different model of Iphone, which are Ip6, Ip X and Ip XR.

For Ip X, I can easily change my cellular data ip address by turning off and on the cellular data.

However, this doesnt apply to Ip6 and Ip XR. It works if I switch off and on the airplane mode, but its time consuming.

Is there anyone have any insight on this issue? Why the same logic doesnt apply on Ip 6 and Ip XR? I need to complete some tasks by changing my cellular data ip address rapidly, thats why the first method (turning off and on cellular data) is the preferable method.

Please find attached the celluar data button I refered to.

Kindly advise.

Hello, jayferris.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post, it's understood you're unable to change your cellular IP address by turning off cellular data. You'll need to contact your wireless carrier for more information about this. The cellular IP address is handled by the wireless carrier and their network which assigns the IP address to your device.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your suggestion. I will try to check this out with my mobile carrier, but the weird thing is the mobile carrier I used are the same across all my phone. But it worth a try though. I will check and update here on the progress.

Meanwhile, appreciate if anyone from the community could provide more insight on this issue.
