AirPods low battery notification

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about your AirPods not providing you with an alert about the battery level of your AirPods when they get low. We'd be glad to see how we can help you out with that.

You mentioned that you're not getting a notification when the battery begins to get low on your AirPods. Typically this happens at 20, 10, and 5% respectively. Also, at 10% and right before they power down, you should get an audible notification s welcome in the form of a tone. Do you hear that in those instances, or is the tone absent as well? If it is absent, let's go ahead and Reset your AirPods as that may benefit us in this situation.

Once that is done, use them and test to see if you get either the notification on your iPhone or the audible tone notification at 10%, and let us know what you find out.

We appreciate the additional details and the extra testing you did. Do you happen to have another device with which you could test your AirPods? We just want to see if the same behavior exists on both. If so, unpair your AirPods from your current iPhone and pair it up with that second device and see if the same issue is present. If it is the same on both devices, you'll likely want to Get Support directly from Apple here for continued support. However, if the issue is specific to just your iPhone, let us know, and we'll delve a bit deeper.
