loaction not working in m1

I am not able to get exact gps location in safari and maps, although I am getting it in chrome, I have also given permission of location to both safari and map but still accurate gps is not visible. in fact its not working in any of the apple softwares.

GPS in Safari is not working often. Why would Apple use GPS location as the last option instead of the first? IF GPS is available, this should be the first choice and not the last. Also, iOS/Safari is failing to use GPS when leaving wifi connectivity. If iOS/Safari were preferring GPS, this wouldn’t seem to be an issue.

M1 chip in macbook preventing garmin gps for getting map updates I read where everyone with an Macbook computer with a M1 chip could not update their Garmin GPS products. Think that is my problem but using the Apple connector USB C to computer and regular female USB connector does allow the Garmin GPS to receive a charge. Guess the M1 doesn't prevent that - odd. Does anyone know if there a work around for the problem?

MacOS - Maps app keeps asking for location every 5 minutes when not running? Hello, I'm using MacOS 12.4 on my new MacBook Pro 16". I noticed on my menu bar that the Maps app, while it is not running, keeps checking my location every 5 minutes. I click on the location arrow in the menu bar, and every time it says it's Maps using the location services. I've confirmed the app is not running via the dock and the force quit menu. I like the Maps app, and would prefer to use it over other alternatives. However, as I am a bit of privacy nut, it concerns me. Unfortunately, unlike iOS, there doesn't seem to be any option to only allow the app to search for my location while using the app. I can't see any reason why the Maps app would need to check for my location every 5 minutes. Any idea why this would be this case? I use the app a couple of times per week. It would be really inconvenient to manually enable location services for the app in the system preferences every time I want to use the app, but I don't see any alternatives at the moment, other than simply using google maps or another alternative. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time reading about my relatively silly issue.

There's no GPS hardware on a M1 Mac.

It works using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and location from millions of iPhones nearby.

Find My Mac uses the Find My network => Use the Find My app to locate a missing device or item - Apple Support
