"The Device is Unreachable" Nothing is working.

Yes.. I have seen all the previous threads on this. And yes I have tried their recommended solutions. Please read what I've tried before recommending the same answer.

(I am very tired of this problem, I apologize for my bluntness)

Here's what happened: I've been transferring data onto this laptop (Asus Zephyrus) with absolutely no problems until last night. I transferred about 20gb worth of video & images, unplugged, plugged it back in later to grab the rest and the message started to show "The Device is Unreachable".

Straight away I updated itunes and tried to update my iPhone 12 Pro to 14.5 iOS in hopes it would fix it but I was hit with "iPhone could not be updated unknown error 4000" (which never happened before), So I updated iPhone through Settings > General > Software Update - which worked fine but didn't solve my problem. I proceeded to do all of the things below.

(P.S: iPhone 12 Pro syncs fine with iTunes, backs up to the computer, etc.. etc..)

I HAVE TRIED:

  • Different Cables
  • Different laptops
  • Settings > Photos > "Keep Originals"
  • Settings > Photos > "Automatic" / then switch back to "Keep Originals" etc...
  • Pre-Update attempt / then Updated to 14.5 & Post update attempt BOTH unsuccessful
  • Resetting Location & Privacy settings
  • Restarting iPhone, Restarting Laptop
  • Tried Updating Drivers in "Device Manager" for iPhone AND USB outlets (everything up to date)

The only thing I haven't tried is resetting the iPhone, which I can't do because I have very important videos (33.4gb) for my University project on that phone which I CAN'T MOVE TO MY PC :(
