Paint chipping on my IPhone 12 (Blue)

I have the same issue on my iphone 12. Does anybody know a fix for this? or how it looks if the paint is completely peeled off?

I got the same issue. Paint chipping on the side where the sim slot is located too.

I got this issue days after my purchase (1month ) I didn’t except this from apple , apple just loosing its fame.hope Apple will review all these paint chipping issue

it’s very easy to get a good paint on a phone and cheap too. I have a very cheap flashlight that cost me like 20 dollars and have dropped it several times on concrete due to my job, it’s still spotless. They could use the same paint on phones and would be way cheaper. But then you wouldn’t find a reason to upgrade phones so quickly.

Apple made out this way on purpose. It’s so people keep buying new phones. I know this for a fact. Because my cheap 20 dollars flashlight has been dropped and kicked and abused at work and not a single scratch on the paint.

there really is no excuse for a phone that costs almost 1500 dollars.

Guys. Stop buying painted phones. My iPhone XS. 3 years old is still in mint condition and I never used a case or screen protector.

unfortunately the new iPhone are easier to scratch the screen too. So I’m staying away as long as I can.

I am amazed that people are still buying painted phones. Apple will always be apple and phones are made to scratch so you buy the new model. It’sa smart business. That’s why they keep introducing new colours, all painted. People should know they should buy the white one.

Sadly they won’t do anything. Paint chipping was an issue since 7 plus days. The jet black model used to have similar problems. Not all units but some. It’s unfortunate that Apple haven’t fixed it yet.

honestly, i think its just the aluminum models cuz stainless steel is painted differently. I have also owned multiple iphones and this is the first time I had paint chipping off. Very disappointed ngl

I too face the same problem with my iPhone 12 (blue) which I bought a month back on Flipkart. I called the apple support they asked me to visit my nearby store, but at the store they simply said its a cosmetic damage which can't be covered under warranty.

Idk what hails apple to be so bad to their customers and the chipping on mine is terrible on iPhone 12 as well, it’s really disappointing the way that apple are heading :(
