Apple Music is buggy/freezing

Apple Music is freezing every time it syncs. I'm having other bugs with it too. For example, album art keeps getting messed up. I'd love to update a later version but I'm seeing any way to do that.

Any advice?

By the way, I'm using Big Sur 11.2.3. I'm reluctant to update the OS because historically, updating my OS has caused problems for various software.

I have a 2017 Macbook Pro. An iPhone 7.

Thank you in advance.

Hello asflnf_sflk,

We understand you're experiencing issue with Apple Music performance and album artwork on your Mac. We also understand you're reluctant to update to macOS Big Sur version 11.3.

To ensure the best performance for all apps, we do recommend keeping the software up to date on your devices. Prior to updating, we'd recommend creating a backup. Once you've updated, please be sure to check for app updates.

We've also released iOS version 14.5. If an update is needed for your iPhone, please be sure to create a backup prior to updating.
