iPhone so slow and laggy after the update of IOS 14.5.1

iPhone Xr. Worked perfectly UNTIL updated to 14.5.1. Now so slow it can easily take 1-2 hours for app store download. And Ring will not play videos. Also, songs skip during playing. Have 81 GB free space. Only time I restart my phone is when it does a self-restart overnight. Happens when battery is at 100%. Tried allowing battery to go dead --no improvement. Suggestions?

Tried that. No improvement. (Turned off. Waited 20 minutes. Plugged into charger. iPhone "auto-started" --I didn't do anything to cause the restart.) Any other suggestions or is to time to visit the Genius Bar?

I think I have tried everything everyone has suggested: Latest --Turned off. Left off several hours. Plugged into charger. iPhone auto started. Used iPhone while still on charger --problem persists. Also tried: Connected to MacBook Pro. Did auto-sync. Did manual sync. Changed music playlist. Again synced. Used iPhone while still connected to MacBook Pro --problem persists. Did proper disconnect from MacBook Pro --problem persists. One other thing --the last sync caused my playlist on the phone to disappear --possibly a result of the very slow data transfer rate? Any other ideas? Or --is it time to call Genius Bar for help? (Note: I have posted several times in this chat which taken together provide a complete history of everything I have tired --all without success.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max has become laggy, apps take longer to open, and often have to be restarted because they do not respond when first opened. On the previous versions I did not notice anything like this. I have forced-restart the device daily without any improvement. I always close my apps as soon as I am finsihed with them, and the content on the device is the same as before the update.

I downloaded and installed 14.6 last night and today at least half of my apps are either slow downloading or just hang up midway! I have high speed 100Mbs+ AND Cell connections. What the heck is going on??

After all the 14.??? Debacles I decided to just to **** with it and get a new phone. They convinced me if I got the 12 all of my problems would be solved. This thing is worse than the 11 With the problems…. I wonder if Verizon will just let me exchange it. Maybe I’m just cursed and got 2 crappy phones

I have the same issue. I've updated my iphone earlier today and since then my phone is laggy

PS Plus talkRADIO is no longer playing/available on TuneIn on Apple Music since the update. Why is it always a step backwards?
