You can reasonable expect 3rd or 4the Q 2021 some announcement or release.

Unknown. Apple has made no mention of this.

To some extent those support two displays, when

the attached internal one is included: makes two.

Second generation M1x/M2+, had been mentioned

in the media; as this transformation from Intel can

take several more years, these will appear..

Then, a few years when everything 'just works' OK

that's when it'll change again & keep you guessing.

We are users like you. We have no insight into Apple's future plans. And even if we did, we could not discuss them here.
