Audio out of sync

Hello all,

I recently upgraded my Mac to a 2019 5k 27inch iMac, and I want to use my old late 2013 21 inch Mac as an external display. I found out that it is actually possible to use both iMacs for audio when setting it up via "Audio MIDI setup". For some reason the audio is completely out of sync between the 2 displays and cannot seem to find any option anywhere to correct it.

is there a way to make it work properly

thanks in advance

Claudio V.

Hello Claudio_Vit,

We see that you're having some trouble where devices set up using Audio MIDI Setup are out of sync. We'd be happy to assist!

This article has some steps that can help if your devices are not synced up properly: Set aggregate device settings in Audio MIDI Setup on Mac

Specifically you'll want to check out the "Enable drift correction" section of that article.

Take care!
