Saving space
Can I delete photos from my iPad to save space. Do they remain in the cloud if I want to look at them at a later date?

If your're using iCloud Photos, deleting pictures from your device automatically deletes the same pictures from iCloud (and viceversa).
If you want to make room on your device storage, follow these instructions:--> Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support
When done (all your pictures are stored in a safe place), you can delete whatever you want.
