Mac Mail

I had confusion today, when someone couldn't send an email to my main email address

***************@mac.com

He kept getting the message, "user not known." He was sending from a Google/Gmail address. I sent myself an email from a PlusNet account to my mac email address and got the same message.

My settings etc., haven't changed and using macOS Big Sur 11.3.1.

Does anyone have suggestions why this should happen please?

email not coming in on iMac My husband can no longer get or send email on his old iMac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 This has been going on for about a month. I have tried every basic fix but still not working. I am still working on trying to find him a solution so he can access his email. I noticed that he gets a pop-up box which says: Profiles/MDM wants to make changes. It looks like the MDM is our internet service provider comcast/xfinity. He has aways just cancelled it and moved on. Now I wonder whether that is part of the issue? Or is his computer so old and running on an outdated OS? Anyone able to shed some light on this, I would be so grateful. Thank you!

New password in Apple Mail preventing outgoing email I hope someone can help resolve a frustrating issue that I am encountering in Apple Mail. I have changed my password in 2 email accounts and updated all my associated devices. I now discover that I am unable to send email from 1 of these accounts on my Mac running macOS Monterey 12.6.2 although I can send email from this account from all my other iOS devices. Bizarre. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
