Siri stops talking in the middle of a sentence

Ever since I updated to iOS 14.5.1 Siri stops talking in the middle of a sentence or just doesn’t say anything at all. This makes things difficult when using maps while driving. I have reset Siri and it is still happening.

Hi all, I am using iPhone 11 Pro and I noticed the intermittent Siri voice cutting out after 14.5.1 update, I tried everything mentioned by other users but that didn’t work out. The only way I was able to make Siri work as before was to switch language from US to UK tried it for a couple of hours and no problems Siri was working as it should so I decided to switch back to American English and again Siri started misbehaving! Hopefully this glitch can be resolved with next update.

I have an iPhone 11 and I’ve had countless times where Siri does this crap while I’m driving and need to know where I’m going. I’ll hear “turn right on to…. “ Cuts out. Turn right onto,.. ONTO WHAT SIRI SPEAK 🗣! The people at Apple likely know about this, a lot of them may be iPhone users and I’m pretty sure they have the same issues if they are. Regardless, they’re pretty intelligent people and have fixed way bigger problems than this. Even recently with the newest update, they fixed an issue that led to giving hackers the ability to hack your phone remotely if they had chosen to do so, talk about some Watchdogs crap right there lol. They were on it like a dog in heat and got it patched ASAP. If they can do that, surely they can do something to Siri’s poor voice so she can tell us what road we’re turning on. Maybe then she’ll say full sentences again. Sadly, if they don’t, I’ll have to rely on google maps otherwise. Sorry Apple, but I needed Google maps I can’t use yours until Siri gets fixed. When you do, I’ll be happy to have Apple Maps on my phone again.

edit: in a way, this flaw in Siri is dangerous as it can cause Apple users to be distracted to look at their phones while driving. If you don’t know where you’re going, because Siri can’t tell you, you’ll miss your turn or be forced to look at your phone. This can causes several things to happen, getting in a wreck, causing others to wreck, or getting pulled over for looking at your phone (Apple update bug or not nobody should EVER look at your phone while driving, it’s not worth your life). My opinion is that it is dangerous but if you think about it, these are the cold hard facts. Stay safe on the roads everybody.

I am also having the exact same issues, and they started right after I did the latest update as it said above. I really don’t believe this has anything to do with apps not being updated or things not being set correctly in settings, all of a sudden one day it worked perfectly fine for months and months and months, I updated the phone, and now it does not. She stops talking in midsentence no matter what function she’s performing. WiFi and cellular.

iPhone SE 2020. Same problem, with a few differences. Mine was updated to new iOS a week ago when I bought it, but this didn’t start until yesterday (May 22). The difference for mine is that I can use the long press method for the home button and Siri speaks to me just fine. Maybe it is a voice recognition issue? It’s almost as if while Siri is speaking, it is stopping halfway through to listen for another command that wasn’t initiated. Please fix soon! This is really annoying when needing to use hands free with voice feedback (car, cooking, etc).
