Optimized Battery Charging bug?

I have an iPhone XS Max, Apple Watch Series 4, and AirPods Pros, all on the latest software/firmware updates: 14.5.1, 7.4.1, and 3E751 respectively.

I don't have a fixed pattern for when I charge my devices, so I turn off the optimized battery charging. But why does it seem like that's not working? Every time I go to check my watch now, it's stuck at 80%, my phone is stuck on a charger for hours and it doesn't reach 100%, and my AirPods keep asking me if I want to "turn off optimized battery charging until tomorrow" even though I already turned it off!!

Please help, is it my devices or is there a bug??

Hi Reylos,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with Optimized Battery Charging. We're happy to help.

Since turning the feature off has a normal restart of your Apple Watch and iPhone been completed?

If needed, the guides below can help:

Restart your iPhone

How to restart your Apple Watch

We also recommend checking the location services settings for each, as optimized charging relies on this information as well. Check the bottom of the article in the section "If Optimized Battery Charging doesn't activate" and "Optimized Battery Charging activates only in certain locations" respectively, to test with these settings off.

About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone

Apple Watch Battery and Performance

For your AirPods Pro, the section "Optimized Battery Charging on AirPods Pro" in the article here: Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life has the steps to ensure the feature is off on your AirPods.

If the issue continues, you can also read more about the conditions where your device may stop charging in the section "If your device stopped charging at 80 percent" here: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge

Cheers!
