Calculator + app

App worked okay until latest update 14.5.1

Now will not work at all. Says developer needs to update software for it to work.

Is there any way of retrieving what was in the vault ?

same app does not now seem to be in App Store anymore either.

problem on both I phone and I pad.

I have almost 15G of data stored in App Calc+, which is now inaccessible. I have cutes, videos and important documents. We purchased this App through the Apple Store platform, so Apple is responsible for that. It can't just throw all the responsibility to the developer. We need to put pressure on Apple they need to find an urgent solution!!! And respect your users.

Well this discredits all the other apps that are created to safely save any documents or videos . I mean who’s going to trust another photo vault or calc + app ? They need to be held responsible or even give us a small window to retrieve our documents/ photos or even charge for the update. I don’t mind paying to have an access to my 386 videos photos & documents, some pertinent for a court case . This is pretty seriously annoying. I don’t know what Apple can do to help us.?

I tried the method suggested earlier in this thread described at https://turbofuture.com/cell-phones/How-to-Rescue-Your-Photos-from-the-My-Secret-Folder-iPhone-App.

Don't be discouraged by the fact that the title doesn't mention Calc+, the method works and there are instructions specifically for Calc+ on the page linked above

Just wanted to report that it worked for me!

Wishing all here the best of luck recovering their treasures....

I contacted Apple support today and do a screen share with them. They basically did you say that you would have to update to a time in the past through iCloud so that you can retrieve the photos. Other than that I’m going to try and open my old iPhone that has not been updated and retrieve them that way. I also found the developer and emailed them info@onewave.se

This link absolutely works. Follow the directions exactly. I was using Calc+ when my iPhone updated and I could no longer access my photos. My photos were found under the app: com.agilitech.spycalfree. Double clicked on the app and you see documents and library. Double click documents and then double click PVAssets. There are your documents and photos. Good luck. I recovered hundreds of photos and videos I thought I’d lost. I hope this helps some of you.

I exported the files from my phone to my computer if that’s what you are asking. I followed the steps and downloaded the programs. I backed up my iPhone to my computer amd then accessed the back up and found the file I listed which was the Calc+ app. I now have the information so I’m not using another app for my photos. I just place

them in the hidden photo folder on my phone if they are personal. Hopefully I answered your question.

The instructions at the link I copied and pasted didn’t say to delete the app. What made you offload the app? It says to back up your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. Then you can find the Calc + app, click on it and export the files to your computer to a file or you can just view them from the back up location in iTunes. I had to download a Microsoft viewer for some of the video files for 99 cents but all the others were viewable. If you’ve deleted the app from your phone, you’re right it no longer exist. There’s another calculator + but it’s not the same app. Sorry you deleted the app, but I didn’t say to do that. I said follow the instructions. Not sure who you’re calling an idiot, but you may want to actually read the instructions completely next time.

Thank you for your advice. Ive failed to do that as well. Now we just wait for this app to be updated or Apple to help us resolve the issue. They’re obviously not taking any liability because the app isn’t present in the store anymore. I’m very very sad & disappointed about everything I lost. How on earth are we ever going to trust any other photo vault / calc + apps that’s merging now , but not the same. I lost about 400 photos documents and videos 😔 😞
