add ripped music from CD to iphone 12 using itunes on windows

I have recently purchased a new CD and imported the music to the iTunes Library. After syncing to an iPhone 12 the songs are listed in the light gray font and are not on the iPhone. How is this music to be manually added?

Try syncing again.

I've found that the Sync process is very unredicatble now; some tracks don't get added at the first sync, but do on the seocnd try, only for other tracks to be removed.
