Free one year Apple TV Subscription?

The software is up to date. I am only getting the free trial for 7 days and $5.99 monthly. No one year subscription option! Apple - it shouldn't be this complicated!

The free for one year Apple TV+ offer is for users that buy a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV box, or Mac. The offer should be redeemed within the first three months. The offer should be redeemed on the new eligible device, in the TV app. The offer is aimed at new subscribers.

Thank you for your reply. I tried it all last night and finally gave up and wrote in this forum. The message for the free 1 year subscription finally showed up on the Apple TV app this morning. I guess it had to take some time to process.

On Macs, the TV app has a separate sign-in (menu Account), which defaults to not signed in. I believe you need to be signed in to the app, for the offer to show. That may cause some confusion.
