Can't add 2 or more IMAP accounts with same incoming server

I'm trying to add 2 IMAP accounts that use the same mail server.

e.g. user@mydomain.com and info@mydomain.com (both using mail server mail.mydomain.com).

If I add the 'user' account first it works and the second won't connect when adding. If I add 'info' first, the 'user' account fails. I know the login details, port etc. are all right, I can add all mails on android without any issue.

I've tried using different email apps too, but doesn't seem to work.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I am also having this issue. 2 accounts (personal@mysite.com and work@mysite.com) both using imap server. It will only accept the first of these

After initial investigation I can recommend the following action.

1) set your primary account (eg. personal@mysite.com) with the imap username.

2) Save and come back out.

3) Go back into the account and where it gives the email address it should now have an arrow (>) Click this.

4) Select 'Add another Email' and enter the second email address (eg. work@mysite.com)

5) Done and Save.

This will link both accounts to mail.app HOWEVER, it will bring all emails from both accounts into a single inbox and when your reply you need to select the appropriate author address. It is a pain in the butt but it's the only way I've found to sort it.
