Why can't I ask Siri to reboot the HomePod?

I have a HomePod that keeps loosing WiFi Connection. I have moved my HomePods around which ever one I put into the living room always loose connection. Unfortunately because of bugs with HomeKit, it's the primary Hub. Not the other 3 HomePods, not the Apple TV (on Eithernet) and not my iPad. And none of them will come off standby when the living room one disconnects.

Why can't I just ask Siri to reboot? Instead, I have to wait for a friend to come over, so we can move the furniture out of the way so I can reach the plug to unplug it from the wall. Seriously, why does this have to be so difficult?

Well, common sense would tell you that if the HomePod is disconnected from the network your iPhone cannot talk to it. You should try reseting the HomePod manually.

Regardless if I want to reboot it or manually reset it... I still need someone to come over to help move the furniture from the wall so I can get to the plug and then plug it back in.

It would be easier if I could do some sort of gesture on top of it to reboot it or tell it to reboot.

No. You don’t need to move furniture to Reset it or restart

Restart HomePod from the Home App:

Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in

Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the gear icon, tap that, scroll to the bottom to Reset HomePod - then select Restart HomePod

RESET HomePod from the Home App:

As above except choose Remove - Then set it up again . After a few moments, hold your iOS device near it and wait for it to chime, then begin set up
