Can not grey out Set Date & Time Automatically

My child figured the way around Screen Time was to change the Date and Time on his iPad. I have read everything about how to un-grey out the setting. Simply setting Screen Time on my daughter's with the "Don't Allow Account Changes" did the trick on hers, but his will not lock!

I have tried:

  • turning off Auto Set and back on
  • turning off Screen Time, toggling Auto Set and then turning it back on
  • turning on and off the Location Services/System Service/Set Time Zone
  • restarting ipad
  • updating ios
  • turning off share across devices.
  • changing Account Changes between Allow and Don't

Honestly, I think I have exhausted all options. There are likely more I have tried. A complete reset really isn't an option. Can someone help?!

Hello sszabo2,

We understand you're experiencing an issue with restrictions, and we'd like to share a resource that can help. To start, we recommend reviewing all guidance listed in this support article: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

This article will go over all necessary requirements to use parental controls, and should help you find the right settings to restrict.

Cheers.
