Unable to activate my Touch ID on my phone and I have followed all the procedures to rest the settings and everything it still says failed

My Touch ID sadden stopped and the home button freezes it not working and it hasn’t fall of the ground neither did my phone fell in side water too

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14

Try using Touch ID after each step: Make sure you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Make sure your fingers and the Touch ID sensor are clean and dry. ... Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode and make sure iPhone Unlock or iTunes & App Store is on, and that you've enrolled one or more fingerprints.
