two iphone 5s unable to update software

Hi, today I noticed that Apple Music failed to start on two separate iphone 5s. (I only use them as an ipod). The app opens then as soon as I select playlist, or any other feature, the app shuts down. I tried to update the software on both iphones through itunes but this failed part way through the process on each phone. Both returned error 14 and retrying a restore, produced the same result. I now appear to have two 5s phones that are effectively bricked. Any ideas please? (and I have newer iphones that do work..)

Thanks for that although I have to say been there done that... However, on my last attempt both iphones managed to restore correctly on two separate PCs running separate itunes. I am now left with my original problem - Apple Music App opens and then shuts down as soon as I select playlist or other option. Strangely if I put the iphone in airplane mode, the Music App runs fine. I'm wondering if another iphone is preventing the app from running. I have two iphones using two different mobile phone accounts and a third with no sim. At the moment only one iphone (5s) has music installed in the App- the other two just the App on its own. (one 5s and one 7plus). The 7plus is my main phone and the other two are effectively spare with one 5s with a sim running music on Apple Play in the car. (This one has a sim). There is also a tracker in the car with its own sim (presumably this has no effect on the other phones) I could put the 5s with no sim in the car and use that for music but I require the app Waze which does seem to require phone access at least to get it started.

Unfortunately I dont have enough storage on my 7 to add music files otherwise I would just use it for everything.

Any ideas how this problem has come about as it has only surfaced in the last day or two?
