No notifications from messaging apps after iOS 14.5

When I updated to 14.5 all my messaging apps, including iMessage, stopped giving me notifications from texts and calls. Also, I’m not sure if this is related or not but, after the update, some of my contacts’ names don’t show up when they call me it just gives me their number. I’ve made sure all notifications settings are turned on in both sides of iOS and the apps but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello roughCollar,

Thank you for that information. The next step we’d like to try is resetting all of your device settings back to their defaults. Keep in mind this will revert all settings that you've customized or changed (including things like your Wallpaper and alarms). This means you may need to reconfigure some of those settings including network settings (so be sure you have your Wi-Fi password handy). Before we do this step, it’s always a good idea to be sure you have a recent backup of your device. You can learn more about backing up your data and settings here: Backup methods for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

When you’re ready let’s go to Settings > General > Reset and choose "Reset All Settings." Let us know how that goes.

Cheers!

Still nothing. I’ve already tried everything thing in there. The issue here isn’t that there are no banners or that it’s not showing up in the lock screen. The notifications are just not going through since the update. They aren’t even in notification center. The texts aren’t getting delivered to the apps unless I open said apps.

On another note, I just tried restarting the device and now iMessage and FaceTime aren’t working at all. This update really broke a lot of stuff for me.
