Can't sign in to Apple TV!!

Before you can sign in on the web, first sign in to the Apple TV app on your iPhone or iPad. On a computer, sign in to Apple TV or iTunes.

I have a Windows 10 laptop and have downloaded the iTunes app and basically listen to free podcasts on it occasionally.

I want to get a free 7 day trial for Apple TV to watch 'The Me You Cannot See'.

Apple recognises me from my email address but whenever I try to sign in to Apple TV I get the above message - I have tried on Chrome and Edge - same problem.

I have signed in to iTunes - same problem.

I feel like giving up!
