Left AirPod not working

My left AirPod has stopped working with my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. The AirPods work great on my iPhone 11 and my watch, but when I get on my computer, the left one never plays sound. I have reset the computer, disconnected the AirPods and then reconnected them, reset them by holding down the back button, and I have gone to system preferences to adjust the sound to play and still, nothing coming from the left AirPod. I have had them for just over a year, so they are not old, does anyone know a solution?
