Shazam and Apple Music Library

Hello DRampaul and welcome to Apple Support Communities. It appears you are having some difficulty using Shazam with Apple Music.

Use Shazam with Apple Music, Snapchat, and more

"If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, songs that you've Shazamed can be automatically added to a playlist called My Shazam Tracks in the Music app. On iPhone or iPad, swipe up to My Music from the main Shazam screen, tap the Settings button, then turn on “Sync Shazams to Apple Music.”

That playlist is system-generated and deleting it may have contributed to this. Try deleting the Shazam app, rebooting the device and then reinstalling it from the App Store.

Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books

If this alone is not effective, consider also deleting and reinstalling the Music app. Note that doing this would remove all downloaded Apple Music content from the device. You would be able to redownload that content after reinstalling the app.
