in my iphone 11 pro battery health reduced 3% now its 95% and my device is 9 months old. Its a software issue there are many apps that not work properly with this update the use lot off battery and device getting hot. Apple should have to fix issue in ios 14.6.1 before ios 14.7 release . Please apple fix that issue . Its almost end of ios 14 now . So please focus on stability , heating issue , and battery drain.
Apple does not read here for suggestions or support requests. If you have an issue with your phone, start here:

If you want to leave feedback, go here:
You can restore it from a backup or restore it as new and then restore your backup. But, the key is to restore it using a computer. That is the only way you get a fresh copy of iOS installed.

Normal, no
Yes, it is normal.
Expected if you mischarge your device, yes
There really is not such thing as "mischarging" your device. Pretty much the only thing you can do wrong is letting the battery drain to 0%, especially if you then leave it that way.

What are you taking about!?! It's not normal at all! I have my iPhone 12 pro since December and still have 100% and believe me I use my phone a lot! But after an update 14.6 battery drain like crazy! 50% down in 4h! There is no help from Apple. I've tried everything they said battery is fine they can't even admit it's their fault. THEY REALLY THINK WE ARE IDIOTS! The only thing I've been told to go to https://www.apple.com/feedback/ and give them a feedback regarding latest update. So to all of you guys go to https://www.apple.com/feedback/ and tell them what your think otherwise they will not do anything! Nobody even check our discussion here...

Complaining here does little good if it's not accompanied by a real solution...which still seems out of our grasp. Apple does not read these forums (usually). EVERONE with this problem should register their problem there now. If you have a developer account, file a RADAR. https://www.apple.com/feedback/ | https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/
History: I had the battery drain problem early on (iPhone XR) (iPad Air unaffected.). It was the MUSIC app that was draining the battery; I do not have the Podcast app installed and turning "Find My" on or off made no difference. Did hard restart (several times), but did NOT do a reset/DFR. The problem disappeared after about 6 days. Battery health remains at 92%.
Like you propose Adam, today I have made a complaint at : https://www.apple.com/feedback/. I think this is my second message since I updated to iOS 14.6. No answer from Apple the first time!
Like you said it is the only way to let Apple know how dissatisfied and disappointed we are with the iOS 14.6 update, but will it change anything? Apple is doesn’t have a good track record for the customer service with battery issues. They never acknowledge the problem they cause to their users. Very bad service!

Apple is very clear that they do not respond to things posted on the Feedback page.

Apple, you fail users again and again. I have been using Iphone since 2007 September, it is hilarious of how you can fool consumers again and again. How hard it is to give decent battery life.
This is a user-to-user forum. Apple is not reading here for suggestions of feedback. If you would like Apple to know your thoughts, you can use the feedback page:
Alll phones, all ios updates, same issue. Pathetic !
No, it's not all phones. I have never had a problem with any of my iPhones. Nor have most people I know.

Everyone, I have started a discussion on iOS 14.7 battery drain, write your reviews on battery life over there then at least Apple will listen to us.
It's not clear where you started this discussion as you didn't link to it. However, if it's here in these forums, no, Apple will not be listening to you. Apple doesn't read these forums for suggestions. If you want Apple to hear your thoughts on the matter, use the feedback page:
No bro, when I posted this discussion, after a few weeks Apple called me and asked me to install a profile so then they will get battery logs and stuff, they are listening to us.. but they aren't doing anything.
Also here is the link to that discussion- https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252976539
My iPhoneSE II has the same Rapid-Battery-Drain-bkz-of-AppStore problem that others have noted here.
The "full restore solution" seems like a kitchen-sink response, but I will give it a try.
Thanks for the info!
@mcsieber
Before going to full restore, try the following:
FYI: the full restore didn’t work for me with iOS14.6, neither did the other actions. Yet after the upgrade to iOS14.7 (with a ‘clean’ phone), AppStore is no longer draining my battery 🥳
Hope you’ll get there too!!
I know how frustrating this issue can be!!
Just adding my voice to this very valid complaint. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Today I started at “charged” (actually 80% per the battery app). Over 12 hours it dropped to 44%, sitting on WiFi and doing almost nothing (with the screen off). Battery life was excellent under 14.5.1.
screen dump attached in case it’s useful. Regards, M.
iPhone XR. I updated to 14.6 very soon after its release. I was among the first here to post regarding the battery drain. The Podcasts app is not on my phone, but the Music app was using crazy power for a "background activity" for days.
Without action on my part (well, closing apps and running on low power mode for a while), the Music app has stopped its background activity and battery drain is normal. Left unplugged overnight, the phone had 92% charge this morning. Maybe the solution is time?
You can see the different behaviors below:
riatemp,
Yes, it seems back to normal, battery as good (better?????????) than before. At least as good as before. I have about 30GB of music on the phone. Do not have Podcast installed (use Overcast). Screenshot of last 24 hours attached. (About 8am JST)
No heavy use yesterday, but still had more than 50% this (very) early morning. Did NOT do an erase/restore, but did turn completely off and on a few times in the problem days.
