Battery drain on iOS 14.6
my battery life on iOS 14.6 is terrible… is it just me or anyone is experiencing this thing too??

So after putting up with this issue of the App Store using around 50% of my battery each day for nearly two weeks (and with activity levels at 100% every hour, with almost all of it in the background) I contacted apple support online chat. They suggested a few things that I had already tried and so we went to the full restore whilst the phone is plugged into a computer. So I reset my phone 11 via my Mac (following their instructions) and then I restored via iCloud backup .
I have now had ten hours of normal battery behaviour; usually by this point in the day my iPhone would be nearly dead. It is still on 56% 👍🏻👏🏻
So if anyone on here is struggling with battery life since iOS 14.6 was released and has tried a number of things but not yet tried the full restore plugged into a computer (which is better than an untethered restore according to the apple support chat representative) then I would urge you try it. Yes, it is a pain resetting the phone and waiting for it to restore from backup (and I now need to reconfigure my banking apps and wallet) - but I'm very happy that the problem seems to be resolved.

I have iPhone 12 Pro Max…….battery drain!!!!! After 14.6 update😡
Wow okay so now my battery health is at 97%… 3% reduced after updating to iOS 14.6… this was literally my first iPhone.. 12 pro… I’m having a terrible experience 😔

Battery is loosing power dramatically.
I just downloaded it a few days ago and had my phone on airplane mode today for a couple of hours while hiking. Got back to the car, and it was completely dead from an almost full charge.
It seems to hit different iPhones. I can report this issue for SE (first gen), 6s and 8. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Hearing that makes me think that it’s reading the battery wrong. But at the same time, I don’t see how that could be. Because it’s the same few apps draining the battery.
I’m on 14.7b2. It’s somehow worse.
I choose not to do the betas because I don’t want a glitch to mess up my device. But I’m just going by what an article said. But have you noticed anything cool about it?
Yeah but I filed these same bug reports when is 14.6 was in beta. That's the concern.
14.5 has the same problem :(
Not only iPhones, now IPods as well! My iPod last 5h! They just having a laugh! Never Apple again!

Yeah I was really hoping to avoid the restore option, but may have no choice.
What phone do you have? That’s an incredible battery life.
