Battery drain on iOS 14.6
my battery life on iOS 14.6 is terrible… is it just me or anyone is experiencing this thing too??

So after putting up with this issue of the App Store using around 50% of my battery each day for nearly two weeks (and with activity levels at 100% every hour, with almost all of it in the background) I contacted apple support online chat. They suggested a few things that I had already tried and so we went to the full restore whilst the phone is plugged into a computer. So I reset my phone 11 via my Mac (following their instructions) and then I restored via iCloud backup .
I have now had ten hours of normal battery behaviour; usually by this point in the day my iPhone would be nearly dead. It is still on 56% 👍🏻👏🏻
So if anyone on here is struggling with battery life since iOS 14.6 was released and has tried a number of things but not yet tried the full restore plugged into a computer (which is better than an untethered restore according to the apple support chat representative) then I would urge you try it. Yes, it is a pain resetting the phone and waiting for it to restore from backup (and I now need to reconfigure my banking apps and wallet) - but I'm very happy that the problem seems to be resolved.

How large is your music collection?
My podcast library is about 250 shows and I have 75gb worth of downloaded episodes.
My music library is about 120gb of downloaded shows.
My problem with battery drain seems to have gone away for the most part. I am on an iPhone 12 and don’t use the podcast application.
Look at the list 24 hrs on my iPhone X. Battery draining *while it was charging*. Wtf Apple??
Exactly the same symptom, suddenly battery life went from all day to 4-5 hours, coincident with update to 14.6
Here is what my settings for App Store now look like:
Please fix this battery drain issue, I faced 3% decrease in battery health in 4 days!

I updated my iPad Air 4 to the newest software and there was no impact on battery life. Wish I could say the same for my iPhone! Jim
I updated my ipad and did not feel much difference. However it affected my iphone so much that its imposibble not to notice.
I have the same experience. Updated my iPad Air and no battery drain issue. My iPhone 11 on the other hand, will drop 60% by mid-day.

I went to the Apply Store yesterday and I was told my iPad Mini is fine and that the problem must be the software upgrade!!!
Did they do anything for you ?
if it is the software it means 14.6 no ?
